Tradu\u00e7\u00e3o (via Google; original, em ingl\u00eas, abaixo):<\/span><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">?<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> &#8220;Nos \u00faltimos dias, o Brasil foi \u00e0s ruas para defender a educa\u00e7\u00e3o p\u00fablica.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Na semana passada, professores de escolas e universidades, funcion\u00e1rios dessas institui\u00e7\u00f5es, bem como estudantes de todas as idades, sa\u00edram \u00e0s ruas para protestar contra os planos do governo de cortar o or\u00e7amento da educa\u00e7\u00e3o p\u00fablica em inacredit\u00e1veis 30%.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Multid\u00f5es se reuniram nas partes centrais de cada cidade grande brasileira e at\u00e9 das menores.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">No Brasil, a maior parte do ensino superior, bem como praticamente toda a pesquisa, s\u00e3o desenvolvidos em universidades p\u00fablicas.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">H\u00e1 universidades privados, \u00e9 claro.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Mas elas cobram mensalidades relativamente caras e, o que \u00e9 ainda pior, proporcionam, em troca, uma aprendizagem de qualidade muito baixa.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Ao longo do s\u00e9culo XX, as universidades p\u00fablicas no Brasil foram fundamentais para o desenvolvimento do pa\u00eds, fornecendo m\u00e3o de obra qualificada para os setores privado e p\u00fablico.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">De 1930 a 1980, ou seja, por 50 anos, o Brasil foi o pa\u00eds cuja economia mais cresceu em todo o mundo.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">E essa hist\u00f3ria de sucesso dependeu, em grande parte, da qualidade das universidades p\u00fablicas brasileiras, que forneciam n\u00e3o apenas m\u00e3o-de-obra qualificada, mas tamb\u00e9m estudos de desenvolvimento, planejamento e pesquisa tecnol\u00f3gica.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">O corte or\u00e7ament\u00e1rio proposto pelo governo praticamente inviabilizaria o sistema p\u00fablico.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Cortes or\u00e7ament\u00e1rios anteriores j\u00e1 tinham feito com que bolsas de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o, para mestrado, doutorado e p\u00f3s-doutorado (CAPES\/ CNPq), fossem suspensas por quase metade do ano passado.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Imagine se esse or\u00e7amento, que j\u00e1 estava longe de ser suficiente, fosse cortado em mais 30%, como o governo planejava?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Bem, confrontados com essa perspectiva, as pessoas disseram \u201cn\u00e3o\u201d.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">E grandes multid\u00f5es tomaram as ruas em 15 de maio para dizer \u201cbasta\u201d.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">As manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es foram um enorme sucesso e at\u00e9 a m\u00eddia conservadora, de direita, mostrou apoio \u00e0s mesmas.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">O que foi\u2026<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2026 um tanto quanto inesperado.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Mas provou o que alguns especulavam: o todo o poderoso monop\u00f3lio da m\u00eddia, a TV Globo, de fato retirou seu apoio ao presidente de extrema direita Jair Bolsonaro.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">*<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Um grande pol\u00edtico brasileiro, j\u00e1 falecido, um patriota das fileiras da esquerda tradicional, nacionalista, chamado Leonel Brizola, o \u00fanico indiv\u00edduo na Hist\u00f3ria do Brasil a ser eleito governador de dois estados brasileiros diferentes \u2013 o Rio Grande do Sul na d\u00e9cada de 1960 e o Rio de Janeiro nas d\u00e9cadas de 1980 e 1990 \u2013, uma vez formulou frase famosa em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 TV Globo:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">(par\u00e1frase com adapta\u00e7\u00f5es)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cNa pol\u00edtica, se as coisas n\u00e3o estiverem claras em determinado momento, de forma que voc\u00ea n\u00e3o tenha muita certeza sobre como proceder quando confrontado com um grande dilema pol\u00edtico, h\u00e1 uma maneira f\u00e1cil de chegar \u00e0 resposta certa: fique de olho na TV Globo. Qualquer que seja o lado para o qual a TV Globo esteja inclinada, esse \u00e9, com certeza, o lado errado. Ent\u00e3o, se a TV Globo \u00e9 favor\u00e1vel a alguma coisa, voc\u00ea deve ser totalmente contra. Se a TV Globo \u00e9 contra alguma outra coisa, ent\u00e3o voc\u00ea deve apoiar essa \u00faltima com entusiasmo!\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">N\u00f3s aqui no Duplo Expresso apelidamos essa f\u00f3rmula de \u201cregra de ouro do Brizola\u201d.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;De ouro&#8221; porque ela \u2013 nunca, nunca mesmo \u2013 falha!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Ent\u00e3o, embora n\u00f3s, obviamente, apoiemos o movimento que tomou as ruas para defender o sistema p\u00fablico de educa\u00e7\u00e3o do Brasil, ficamos muito desconfiados do apoio inesperado da TV Globo ao mesmo.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">E desconfiados tamb\u00e9m das raz\u00f5es que podem estar por tr\u00e1s disso.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Tornando toda essa situa\u00e7\u00e3o ainda mais paradoxal, a TV Globo vem historicamente, de forma reiterada, defendendo cortes nos or\u00e7amentos das universidades p\u00fablicas!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">E at\u00e9 sugeriu, mais de uma vez, privatiza-las completamente!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Ent\u00e3o&#8230; a TV Globo de repente mudou de ideia?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Bem, na verdade, n\u00e3o.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Parece que a Globo TV quer que o atual Vice-Presidente do Brasil, o ex-General aposentado Hamilton Mour\u00e3o, intervenha e torne-se, ele, o Presidente.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">E, a bem da verdade, a TV Globo n\u00e3o est\u00e1 sozinha nesse movimento estrat\u00e9gico.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">A TV Globo \u00e9, como sabemos todos, inimiga jurada do Partido dos Trabalhadores, de esquerda, o Partido do ex-presidente Lula.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Surpreendentemente, por\u00e9m, a TV Globo agora se encontra, na quest\u00e3o de apoiar a investidura do General Mour\u00e3o como Presidente, na companhia de \u2013 muitos \u2013 membros da oposi\u00e7\u00e3o, incluindo alguns do\u2026<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; &#8230; Partido dos Trabalhadores!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">A TV Globo, com os seus estreitos la\u00e7os com a &#8220;Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Lava Jato&#8221;, \u00e9 a respons\u00e1vel pela injusta condena\u00e7\u00e3o criminal e a pris\u00e3o do ex-presidente Lula no ano passado, o que o levou a n\u00e3o poder concorrer novamente \u00e0 Presid\u00eancia, frustrando mais da metade dos eleitores, que queria votar nele.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">E, no entanto, a TV Globo e os membros do Partido dos Trabalhadores est\u00e3o agora do mesmo lado, compartilhando o desejo de ver o General Mour\u00e3o, o atual Vice-Presidente, como Chefe de Estado e Chefe de Governo.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">N\u00e3o nos leve a mal: n\u00f3s, aqui no Duplo Expresso, tamb\u00e9m queremos que o atual Presidente Jair Bolsonaro saia. E o quanto antes!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">N\u00f3s, na verdade, vimos dedicando todos os nossos esfor\u00e7os nesse sentido.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Bolsonaro \u00e9 um p\u00e9ssimo presidente. Um que tem sido especialmente duro para os muitos pobres do pa\u00eds e que avilta a soberania brasileira quase a ponto de n\u00e3o retorno, tendo vindo a se tornar, de forma humilhante, o poodle sul-americano do presidente americano Donald Trump.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">No entanto, n\u00e3o h\u00e1 raz\u00e3o para acreditar que o General Mour\u00e3o seria diferente.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">E, novamente, diante de tal dilema pol\u00edtico, voltamos n\u00f3s \u00e0 regra de ouro de Brizola:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cSe a Globo quer alguma coisa, seja contra!\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Nesse dilema espec\u00edfico, ou seja, \u201cescolher entre Bolsonaro e Mour\u00e3o\u201d, pensamos que observamos tal regra \u00e1urea quando dizemos em resposta:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; Nenhum dos dois!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Bolsonaro deve, de fato, deixar o cargo.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">O mais cedo poss\u00edvel.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Mas ele deveria faz\u00ea-lo da maneira como entrou: junto com o general Hamilton Mour\u00e3o \u2013 sua alma g\u00eamea ideol\u00f3gica que agora finge ser um \u201cestadista moderado\u201d para atrair os tolos.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">E, tamb\u00e9m, os n\u00e3o t\u00e3o \u201ctolos\u201d assim, como a TV Globo e os indiv\u00edduos no Partido dos Trabalhadores que tra\u00edram o seu fundador, o injusti\u00e7ado ex-Presidente Lula.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Ali\u00e1s, o ex-governador Brizola tem outra frase famosa:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cA pol\u00edtica ama a trai\u00e7\u00e3o\u2026<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8230; mas despreza os traidores!\u201d&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">*<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">*<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">*<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">ORIGINAL:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;The past days, Brazil took to the streets to stand up for public education.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Last week teachers, university professors, school and university staff as well as students of all ages took to the streets to demonstrate against government plans to cut the public education budget by a staggering 30%.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Huge crowds gathered in the central parts of all Brazilian major cities and even smaller ones.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In Brazil, most of the higher education as well as ultimately all the technological research is developed in public universities.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There are private ones, of course.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But not only do they charge incoming students relatively expensive tuition fees but, what is even worse, provide in return learning of very poor quality.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Throughout the 20th century public universities in Brazil were instrumental for the country\u2019s development, providing skilled labor for both the private and the public sectors.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">From 1930 to 1980, that is, 50 years, Brazil was the country whose economy grew the most all over the world.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And this success story depended, to a great extent, to the quality of Brazil\u2019s public universities, providing not only skilled labor but also development studies, planning and technological research.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The budgetary cut proposed by the government would virtually cripple the public system.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Budgetary cuts had already led to scholarships for graduate studies, for master, PhD and Post-Doctoral degrees, being suspended for almost one half of last year.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Imagine if that budget, which was already far from sufficient, were further cut by 30%, as the government planned to?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Well, faced with that prospect, the people said no.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And huge crowds took to the streets on May 15 to say enough was enough.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The demonstrations were a huge success and even conservative, right wing, mainstream media showed support for it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Which\u2026<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2026 was kind of unexpected.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But proved what some had been speculating: all mighty media monopoly Globo TV has indeed withdrawn its support for far-right President Jair Bolsonaro.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">*<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">A great Brazilian politician, already deceased, a patriot from the ranks of the traditional patriotic left called Leonel Brizola, the only individual in Brazilian History to ever be elected and become governor of two different Brazilian States \u2013 Rio Grande do Sul in the 1960s and Rio de Janeiro in the 1980s and 1990s, once famously said about Globo TV:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In politics, if things are ever unclear at some point and you are unsure on how to proceed when faced with a great political dilemma, there is an easy way for you to get to the right answer:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Keep an eye on Globo TV.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Whichever side Globo TV is leaning towards, it is, for sure, the wrong one.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, if Globo TV is favorable to something, you should be very much against it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If Globo TV is against some other thing, then you should enthusiastically support it!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">End of quote.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We here on Duplo Expresso dubbed this \u201cBrizola\u2019s golden rule\u201d.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cGolden\u201d because it \u2013 never, ever &#8212; fails!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, although we, of course, support the movement that took to the streets to defend Brazil\u2019s public education system, we are very suspicious of Globo\u2019s unexpected support for it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And of the reasons that might be behind it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Making the whole situation even more paradoxical, Globo TV has time and again stood for public universities budget cuts!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And even hinted, more than a few times, on privatizing them altogether!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, did Globo TV suddenly have a change of heart?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Well\u2026 not really.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It seems Globo TV wants Brazil\u2019s current vice-President, hardliner retired army general Hamilton Mour\u00e3o, to step in and become President himself.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And, actually, Globo TV is not alone in this strategic move.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Globo TV is, of course, a sworn enemy of the leftist Workers\u2019 Party, former President Lula\u2019s party.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Surprisingly enough, however, Globo TV now finds itself, on the question of supporting General Mourao\u2019s investiture as President, in the company of &#8212; many &#8212; members of the opposition, including some from\u2026<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u2026 the Workers\u2019 Party!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Globo TV, and its close ties to the law-breaking \u201ccarwash operation\u201d, is ultimately to blame for former President Lula\u2019s criminal conviction and arrest last year, which led him not to be able to run for office again, frustrating more than at least 50% of the people, who wanted to vote for him.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And yet Globo TV and members of the Workers\u2019 party are now on the same side, sharing the willingness to see General Mourao, the current Vice President, as head of State and head of government.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Don\u2019t get us wrong: we here on Duplo Expresso also want current President Jair Bolsonaro out of the picture.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And as soon as possible.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We, actually, have been putting all our efforts to it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Bolsonaro is a terrible President.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">One that has been especially hard on the country\u2019s many poor and that has tarnished Brazilian sovereignty almost to the point of no return, humiliatingly becoming US President Donald Trump\u2019s South American poodle.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">However, there is no reason at this point to believe General Mour\u00e3o would be any different.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And again, faced with such a political dilemma, we go back to Brizola\u2019s golden rule:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cIf Globo wants something, oppose it!\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In this specific dilemma, \u201cchoosing between Bolsonato and Mour\u00e3o\u201d, we think we comply with the said rule when we say in response:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; None of them!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Bolsonaro must, indeed, leave office.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">As soon as possible.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">But he ought to do it the way he got in: together with General Hamilton Mourao, his ideological soul-mate who now pretends to be a moderate statesman to lure in the fool.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">And the not so fool as well, like Globo TV and the people who betrayed Lula in his own party.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">By the way former Governor Brizola has another famous quote:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Politics loves treason\u2026 but politics loathes the traitors themselves&#8221;.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nesse dilema espec\u00edfico, ou seja, \u201cescolher entre Bolsonaro e Mour\u00e3o\u201d, pensamos que observamos a regra de ouro do Brizola quando dizemos em resposta:<br \/>\n&#8211;
